Saturday in Vegas! Still very hot today but somehow, magically, there was no line for the pool so I actually got to check it out and put my feet in for a little bit before dinner. The lines have always been horribly long so I had never been before.

Got into the fest a bit later this evening, around 10pm, and went right to see Steve Aoki at Kinetic Field. Met up with my new friend, Brandon, who we had carpooled down with, to see his cow 'fit. Then we headed over to Downtown EDC to meet up with my friend Jack from Tahoe. Jack and I danced together to the end of Hardwell and then John Summit. The crowds for John Summit were definitely...crowded...and there were a few rude people but nothing compared to what folks were saying had happened online, in my experience.

After seeing the fireworks, I explored a bit, including finding a secret bar called The Glitch Noir. They had a whole bunch of old video equipment setup that you could play with and an art display made with old GPU cards. I met a guy from the Insomniac video crew who geeked out over the whole thing and listened to him regale me with stories about how he learned on old equipment like this, despite the fact that he had to be under 30.

I checked out a few minutes of Peggy Gou b2b ki/ki at Circuit Grounds then headed back to Kinetic Field for Kaskade. Ended the evening seeing the sunrise with Above & Beyond which was, of course, epic. I love their messages of unity that they type out on the screens like "We are beautiful together, EDC."
