On Tuesday, went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure with my ex, Jonathan, and his boyfriend, Joe. It was awesome getting to see Jonathan again (even though I had just seen him last year at this time) and get to meet his boyfriend. We all hit it off great!

We started the day with the Oh! The Stories You'll Hear! kids coaster in Dr. Seuss land just because there was no wait. Then we went on my favorite coaster of all time, Velocicoaster. Not only does it have an incredible ride, but it has dinosaurs! We walked through the visitor's center after and found one of Jonathan's friends with a baby dinosaur in a backpack.

Continued on to Skull Island to ride the revised Reign of Kong which was much better without the 3D glasses.

In Marvel Super Hero Island, Joe got to meet Captain America for a photo op. We rode Spider-Man but skipped the Hulk Coaster and Fearfall.

Headed to the original Universal Studios park next where we did the Jimmy Fallon ride (meh) and Revenge of the Mummy. We almost got in line for Fast and the Furious (which Joe had never done), but decided to check out the Jason Bourne Stuntacular show instead. That show was incredible! It had a combination of live actors and set pieces in front of a giant screen which blended together perfectly. Unfortunately, Fast and the Furious closed early so we missed that one and did Harry Potter's Escape from Gringotts instead.

We ended the night with a few drinks at Universal City Walk at the Rising Star Karaoke bar. We were the first ones in there since they opened right as the parks closed, but it got a little more busy as the night went on. Both Jonathan and Joe did a great job singing on stage!
